If you wish to revoke a Last Will and Testament that you have made there are several things you can do. Specifically, you can either:

1. draft a new Last Will; or
   
   
2. physically destroy your old Last Will;

In addition, a Last Will is often revoked by marriage unless your Will has been drafted “in contemplation of marriage”. In some states, a Will can be revoked if you have a child after executing the Will and the Will has not dealt with this possibility.

It should be noted that the writing of the word ‘revoked’ on a will is insufficient to legally revoke a Will.
